Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Miko Tomasko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alex Butorin!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Viktor Lagutenko and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tomasko fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Butorin.
Butorin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Tomasko avoids a punch combination nicely.
Tomasko circles away from the clinch attempt.
Tomasko is looking to chop away at Butorin's legs.
Butorin blocks a head kick by Tomasko.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tomasko throws the left hand but Butorin avoids the punch easily.

Tomasko has his foot on Butorin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Butorin works his way back into a safe position though.

Butorin is trying to drag Tomasko to the mat but Tomasko just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Butorin keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Tomasko's efforts to push away.
Butorin is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Butorin wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Tomasko manages to pass to side control.

Tomasko jumps guard but Butorin stands there with Tomasko around his waist. Tomasko gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Tomasko has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Butorin uses from the top position.

Tomasko has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Tomasko has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Butorin's face.
