The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Samos avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Sanchez gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Samos counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Sanchez's guard now. Sanchez looking for a guillotine here but Samos defends easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Samos drops back for a leg! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sanchez scores with punches and elbows. Samos rolls, trying to escape but Sanchez keeps control of the position.

Cristian Sanchez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Good anticipation by Sanchez. Sanchez is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Samos can't fight it off and eventually Sanchez manages to take the fight to the floor. Samos looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Samos wants to sweep but no luck. Sanchez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Samos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Sanchez wants to stand but Samos has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Sanchez winds up and cracks Samos with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Jose Samos overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Sanchez controlling the pace. Sanchez looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Samos with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Sanchez trying to control from half guard but Samos is working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Sanchez is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Samos is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Sanchez pulls his head out easily. Sanchez seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Sanchez scoring with strikes to the body and head. Sanchez decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Samos misses with a takedown attempt and Sanchez counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Samos is looking to sinch up a triangle. Sanchez throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Samos's body to avoid the submission. Samos has instead reached around Sanchez's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Samos arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
