Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Melvin Saddleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Tuffnuts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Melvin Saddleman! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joey Tuffnuts! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Leandro Rodrigues and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tuffnuts on the wrong end of a nice jab. Saddleman lands an overhand right. Saddleman throws a series of punches but Tuffnuts moves out of range. Tuffnuts tries for a takedown but Saddleman sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Saddleman scores with the left hand. Tuffnuts knows he should have avoided that one. Saddleman decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Saddleman works his foot free and advances to mount. Tuffnuts is working to get back to half guard.
Saddleman is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Tuffnuts can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Saddleman prevents Tuffnuts from getting the reversal.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tuffnuts is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Saddleman tries to control but Tuffnuts wriggling away. Tuffnuts is in all sorts of trouble here.
Saddleman is working for a guillotine from mount but Tuffnuts frees his head quite easily.
Tuffnuts can't escape the position.
Saddleman with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Saddleman is breathing heavily. Tuffnuts bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Tuffnuts drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Saddleman manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Tuffnuts has Saddleman in his guard. Saddleman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Tuffnuts looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Tuffnuts has his foot on Saddleman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Saddleman works his way back into a safe position though. Saddleman drops back looking for a leg! Tuffnuts is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tuffnuts manages to kick Saddleman off! Saddleman jumps back into Tuffnuts's guard. Tuffnuts has an active guard here but Saddleman has managed to pass into half guard.
Tuffnuts wants to get back to full guard.

Saddleman won't allow Tuffnuts to sweep him here. Saddleman wants to control from the top but Tuffnuts keeps moving. Saddleman is posturing up here but Tuffnuts has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Saddleman tries to roll out but it's too tight and Saddleman has to tap! Slick submission there by Tuffnuts!
