PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Pulawsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Klas Aberton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pulawsky kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Born in the PRL. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Klas Aberton!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Eddie Farnsworth and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aberton stuffs the takedown.
Aberton keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Pulawsky looks for a takedown but Aberton sprawls well.

Pulawsky shoots for a double leg takedown but Aberton sprawls well. He's pushed Pulawsky's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Aberton postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Aberton tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Aberton is looking to take a break and control but Pulawsky is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Aberton wants to stand but Pulawsky has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Aberton fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pulawsky avoids it really well and circles away.
Pulawsky looks to throw the jab but Aberton is out of range.
No joy there for Pulawsky, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Pulawsky looks to land a right hand but Aberton moved out of range.

Pulawsky looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Pulawsky wants to advance to full mount but Aberton doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Pulawsky drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Aberton gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Aberton manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Well Aberton has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
