Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Quinton Slackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, George Floorman! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Reed Andrews and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Floorman fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Slackson fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Floorman checks it well. Floorman displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Slackson throws out the jab. Nice takedown defense from Slackson. No joy for Floorman on that attempt. Floorman blocks a head kick by Slackson.

Slackson stuffs the takedown. Quinton Slackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Floorman. Nice sprawl there from Slackson as Floorman shoots in. Slackson throws a series of punches but Floorman avoids them all with ease. Slackson misses with a jab, cross combination.
Floorman shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Nice sprawl there from Floorman as Slackson shoots in. Floorman is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Slackson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Floorman. Floorman lands a jab. Slackson moves in looking to clinch but Floorman pushes him off. Slackson bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Floorman shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Slackson defends it nicely. Floorman looks gassed! Slackson feints and then cracks Floorman's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Floorman down.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slackson wants to clinch up but Floorman keeps it at a distance. Slackson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. The fight stays on the outside here - Slackson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Slackson throws a nice looking combination but Floorman bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Slackson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Slackson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Slackson wants it to stay on the feet. Floorman stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Slackson. Floorman blocks a head kick by Slackson.

Slackson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Floorman counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Slackson tries to roll over but Floorman keeps him under control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Slackson is working hard here to advance position. Slackson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Floorman's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Floorman's back! Slackson throwing wild punches that miss their target. A lull in the action here.

Floorman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Slackson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Floorman wants to control from the top but Slackson keeps moving. Slackson wants to sweep here but Floorman controlling him for the moment. Slackson is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Floorman has his hands clasped together but Slackson extends an breaks Floorman's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Slackson.
