Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Graf Orlak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jing Ya Xu!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Igor Prikhodko and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ya Xu on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Ya Xu uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Orlak.
Orlak turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Ya Xu throws the left hand but Orlak avoids the punch easily.
Ya Xu needs to keep his hands up - Orlak had a free shot at his head there.
Orlak cracks Ya Xu with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Orlak lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ya Xu accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That was a close round but I would say that Graf Orlak will probably get the nod.

Ya Xu's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Orlak darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Orlak closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Ya Xu might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Graf Orlak showed his dominance in that final round.
