Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryu Janku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikey Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williams has chosen A Message To You Rudy as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Despite being in the dominant position, Mikey Williams just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Janku shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Williams as he avoids it easily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Janku forces Williams back against the cage and clinches.
Williams jumps guard but Janku stands there with Williams around his waist. Williams gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Janku has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Williams uses from the top position.
Williams seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Williams seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Janku does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

and Williams counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Williams accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Williams passes Janku's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Williams's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Williams closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
