The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davenport stuns Escobedo with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Davenport moves in looking to clinch but Escobedo pushes him off. Escobedo takes one on the button. Davenport cracks the inside of Escobedo's front leg. Davenport drives through and clinches with Escobedo against the cage.
Davenport lands an uppercut. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Davenport creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Escobedo's guard.
