Chase sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jaquier's guard.
Chase is working for a kimura but Jaquier is defending it quite comfortably.
Jaquier seems to have recovered his senses.
Well, if Chase is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jaquier has hold of Chase's hands but Chase slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Chase working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Jaquier is staying active underneath Chase, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Chase not landing any meaningful shots this time.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Donk. Chase catches Jaquier right on the button with a cross.

That has opened up Francis Jaquier's cut even more.
Jaquier takes a shot to the body in his stride.

and Chase counters with a nice leg kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Chase! Jaquier is out on his feet! Chase rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Jaquier is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Jaquier is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
