Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Carwrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ikoa Oyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shane Carwrong looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shane Carwrong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ikoa Oyama! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oyama throws a body punch but Carwrong moves out of range. Oyama swings and misses with a hook to the body.
No luck for Carwrong with that takedown attempt. Carwrong shoots in looking for a takedown. Oyama tries to sprawl out of it but Carwrong keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Oyama manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Carwrong shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Oyama pinned against the cage. Oyama gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shane Carwrong. That's going to take a lot out of him. Oyama defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Carwrong. Oyama misses with a hook. Oyama tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Carwrong was well out of range. Poor timing from Oyama. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carwrong shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Oyama pinned against the cage. Oyama gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Carwrong is breathing heavily. Carwrong looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Oyama is fending him off so far but Carwrong persists. Nope, Oyama circles away and we're back to standing. Oyama throws a hook but Carwrong blocks it. Carwrong fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carwrong shoots in but no luck this time. Oyama closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Oyama tries for a kimura but Carwrong is defending well. Oyama is trying to get an arm triangle but Carwrong is defending well. Oyama has knee on belly and moves into mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oyama controlling from the full mount. Carwrong might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Oyama wants to control the pace but Carwrong is squirming around nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ikoa Oyama dominated that round. That's time! Carwrong's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Carwrong misses with a takedown and Oyama counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Carwrong's guard now. Oyama loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Oyama postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Carwrong avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Oyama wants to pass the guard but Carwrong is keeping the position. Oyama throws a big right hand that misses. Carwrong on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Carwrong tries to get out of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carwrong keeping moving, preventing Oyama from controlling successfully. Carwrong utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Oyama missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Carwrong shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Oyama manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Oyama bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Carwrong's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oyama throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Oyama trying to control but Carwrong is working from the bottom. Oyama slips nicely into half guard. Oyama is pressing down on Carwrong's thigh, looking to free his foot. Carwrong is holding on for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ikoa Oyama showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Carwrong has his takedown stuffed and Oyama counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Carwrong's guard now. Oyama trying to control the position from guard on top but Carwrong is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Oyama wants to pass the guard but Carwrong is keeping the position. Carwrong keeping moving, preventing Oyama from controlling successfully. Oyama is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oyama tries to free his leg and advance position but Carwrong is retaining full guard. Oyama keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Carwrong's head. Oyama passes into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Oyama lands with a punch from half guard. Oyama is looking to take a break and control but Carwrong is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Carwrong is trying to stand back up but Oyama is controlling him
Shane Carwrong has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Carwrong keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
And that's the end of the fight! Ikoa Oyama comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Oyama has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
