Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between David Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Sandman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miller comes to the cage accompanied by Mr. Sandman, I'm about to put you to sleep!. Sandman comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Enter Sandman kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, David Miller! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Shawn Sandman! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Richard Clark and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miller shoots in and bounces Sandman off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Miller trying to control the position from guard on top but Sandman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Miller is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Sandman is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Sandman has escaped and now he's on top! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sandman tries to free his leg and advance position but Miller is retaining full guard. Sandman stopping the sweep attempt from Miller.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sandman slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Sandman pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Miller is keeping the position for now. Miller controls Sandman momentarily but Sandman frees himself. Miller seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Miller fails with an attempt to clinch.
Miller looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Sandman stuffs the takedown attempt from Miller. Miller gets slowly back to his feet. Sandman just misses with a punch to the body.
Sandman rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Miller moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Miller moves away from the strike by Sandman. Miller shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sandman defends it nicely. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Miller. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sandman lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Sandman paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sandman uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Miller.
Sandman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Miller manages to avoid it. Miller uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sandman.
Miller plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Sandman connects with a crisp jab. Sandman lands a jab to Miller's midsection. Sandman misses with a body shot.
Miller gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Miller slips a straight right by Sandman. Sandman throws a lazy right hand but Miller sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Shawn Sandman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sandman scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. A big left from Sandman misses. Miller moves into the clinch successfully.
Miller tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sandman smiles and moves away.
Miller takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nice sprawl there from Sandman as Miller shoots in. Sandman throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Miller sees it coming and avoids it easily. Miller misses with a wild body shot. No luck for Miller with that takedown attempt. Sandman throws a hook to the side of Miller's head but Miller sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Miller takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Sandman throws a series of strikes that have Miller backpedaling.
Miller is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nice takedown defense from Sandman. No joy for Miller on that attempt. Miller closes the distance and clinches up with Sandman, looking for a takedown. Miller pushes Sandman against the cage but Sandman circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Nice shot by Sandman. Oh Miller is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Miller tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Miller seems to have got his legs back now. Sandman just misses with a punch to the body.
Sandman lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Miller circles away quickly and effectively. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shawn Sandman dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Miller tries to pull guard but Sandman holds him up against the cage and eventually Miller drops back down to his feet.

Miller drops back looking for a leg! Sandman is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sandman manages to kick Miller off! Miller jumps back into Sandman's guard. Miller drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Miller jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Miller advances position into side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Miller laying and praying for a moment but Sandman takes advantage and regains half guard. Miller has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Sandman defend it? Miller steps over the head and cranks it - Sandman is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Miller!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). David Miller!
