The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ali drops Polls with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Polls looks back up at him and smiles so Ali waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Polls clinches up with Ali and pushes him back against the cage.

Ali's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Ali seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

Hazan Ali seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Polls is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ali throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Polls sees it coming and avoids it easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Ali lands a really nice looking cross but Polls seems unphased.
Polls tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ali swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ali paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Ali throws a series of punches but Polls moves out of range.

Ali cracks Polls with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Ali has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Polls to stand back up!

Ali fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Polls looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Ali throws a leg kick which misses Polls's front leg but catches the back leg as Polls tries to avoid it.

Ali lands a left and a right that send Polls crashing to the mat, dazed. Ali thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Sim Polls has been cut.

Polls chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Ali can pounce on him.
Ali lands an uppercut, right on the button! Polls tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
