Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Beam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nate Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davis has chosen Rancid-Last one to Die as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Beam! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nate Davis! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Eliza Hachem and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davis keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Davis lands a nice looking body kick. Davis showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Beam.

Davis shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Davis showed some decent athleticism there. Davis is looking for a kimura but Beam is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Davis to get the leverage. Beam is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Davis is looking for a kimura here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Davis is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Beam defends it well. Beam is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Davis's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Davis's back! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Beam is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Davis knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Davis for a finish. Davis turns into Beam and is now in his guard.

You can't force these things though and Davis defends well. Davis throwing strikes but missing. Beam working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Davis doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Davis manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Beam has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Davis can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Beam is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Davis defends well. Davis drops back, looking for a kneebar! Beam looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Beam looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Beam! Davis is looking for a sweep. Davis is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Beam off and has taken his back! Davis working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Beam rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Beam avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Davis. Beam tries to roll over but Davis keeps him under control. Davis is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Beam shoots for a double leg takedown but Davis sprawls well. He's pushed Beam's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Beam dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Nate Davis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Beam shoots and misses and Davis counters with a single leg into guard. Beam didn't expect that. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Beam working for a triangle but Davis defends it easily.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Davis drops back looking for a leg! Beam is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Beam manages to kick Davis off! Davis jumps back into Beam's guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Davis looking to pass the guard.

No, Davis has managed to get both his arms back between Beam's legs - danger averted. Davis works over Beam with some ground and pound from guard. Davis working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Jack Beam overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Davis throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Beam works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Davis thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Davis pushing down on Beam's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Davis is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Beam keeping full guard, as Davis tries to pass. Davis has gone for a leg lock! Beam slips out almost immediately though and dives into Davis's guard. Beam advances to half guard.

No, Davis has escaped the position, nice work there. Davis is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Beam off and has taken his back! Davis is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Beam is defending well though. Davis let's go of the attempt for now. Beam fending off the submission attempt from Davis. Beam breaks Davis's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jack Beam will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

And that's the end of the fight! Jack Beam showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Beam, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
