Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rigor Mortis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rigor Mortis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andy Johnson! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mortis shoots in for a double leg but Johnson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Johnson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mortis to the mat! Mortis manages to get full guard. Mortis is trying to keep Johnson in close.
Johnson distracts Mortis with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Johnson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Johnson wants to pass the guard but Mortis is keeping the position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Johnson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Johnson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Johnson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Johnson content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Johnson's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Johnson scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Johnson's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Johnson throws and elbow that misses. Mortis uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Johnson's guard. Nice move by Mortis! Mortis wants to pass the guard but Johnson is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mortis is one step ahead there. Mortis stays in close to Johnson's body and controls the position. Mortis tries to free his leg and advance position but Johnson is retaining full guard. Johnson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Mortis is controlling him. Johnson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Mortis loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Johnson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mortis sprawls well initially but Johnson persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnson looks gassed! Johnson thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Mortis to regain full guard. Mortis working a defensive guard here.
Johnson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Johnson throwing strikes but missing. Mortis utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Johnson throws and elbow that misses. Mortis uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Johnson's guard. Nice move by Mortis! Mortis controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Mortis wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson wants to sweep here but Mortis controlling him for the moment.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Mortis drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mortis trying to control the action but Johnson is working from the bottom. Johnson is trying to control Mortis's posture but Mortis avoids it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mortis is looking to take a break and control but Johnson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Mortis has hold of Johnson's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Johnson seems comfortable defending it but Mortis has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Johnson is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Johnson is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Mortis couldn't care less - he's delighted!
