Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Romeo Silva!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Paulo Santos and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laidlaw tries to close the distance and clinch but Silva swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Laidlaw tries to clinch up but Silva circles away and keeps his distance.
Laidlaw is looking to clinch but Silva is avoiding it.
Laidlaw wants to clinch.
Silva keeps the fight on the outside.
Laidlaw closes the distance and clinches.
Silva tries to circle away but Laidlaw has him pinned against the ropes.
Laidlaw's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Laidlaw misses with a kick to the body.
Silva darts in trying to clinch
and Laidlaw counters by clinching up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Laidlaw breaks from the clinch.
Laidlaw closes this distance looking for a takedown but Silva circles away.
Laidlaw shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Silva tries to control the position but Laidlaw now has his back.
Silva staying busy and making it hard for Laidlaw to control.

Even with his hooks in, Laidlaw manages to miss with strikes from the back.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Laidlaw has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Laidlaw is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Silva up.
