Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bud Brockett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Swadge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Swadge has chosen The adventures of Huckleberry Finn as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Bud Brockett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Tom Swadge! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Paul Tew and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Swadge shoots in but Brockett avoids the takedown attempt easily. Swadge dives in and grabs Brockett's left leg, looking for a takedown. Brockett pushes down on Swadge's head and hops out. Swadge tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Swadge throws a right and a left that both miss. Decent striking displayed by Brockett there. Swadge fails with the takedown. Bud Brockett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tom Swadge. Swadge shoots in and drives through. Brockett sprawls well. Swadge shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Brockett as he avoids it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fight stays on the outside here - Swadge looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Brockett fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Swadge sprawls well initially but Brockett persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Swadge is trying to get back to full guard. Brockett is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Swadge defends it well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Swadge advances to half guard. Swadge is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Swadge prevents Brockett from standing back up.
Swadge is looking to pass Brockett's guard but actually Brockett recovers to full guard. Swadge trying to control the position from guard on top but Brockett is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Swadge trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Swadge is looking to advance position but Brockett has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Brockett pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Swadge is wriggling around trying to escape.

Brockett looking to finish Swadge with some ground and pound. This is bad for Swadge! Swadge manages to regain half guard. Good work. Brockett lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Brockett not landing any meaningful shots this time. Brockett is breathing heavily. Brockett missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Swadge regains full guard. Nicely done.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brockett in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Swadge is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Swadge looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Swadge working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Brockett doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Brockett manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Brockett chips away with some ground and pound. Swadge looking to hit a scissor sweep but Brockett is one step ahead there. Swadge is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Bud Brockett will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Swadge shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Brockett counters with a nice double leg into side control. Swadge won't be happy with that. Swadge manages to get back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Swadge is pressing down on Brockett's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Swadge is looking for a triangle but Brockett pushes his legs off easily.
Brockett throws a strike but Swadge rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Swadge wants to stand but Brockett has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Brockett is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Swadge dives into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Swadge is trying to move to mount but Brockett reverses beautifully and ends up in Swadge's guard. Brockett postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Brockett has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Swadge lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Brockett! Swadge landing punches. Swadge goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Brockett turns into him and now he's in Swadge's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brockett throws a big right hand that misses. Swadge is trying to keep Brockett in close.
Brockett loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Swadge is on top in guard.
Swadge wanted to stand there but Brockett had control of the position. Swadge advances to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brockett is staying active underneath Swadge, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Swadge throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Swadge seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Brockett does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Swadge wants to free his trapped foot but Brockett is holding on for dear life with his legs. Brockett is not content to let Swadge control the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Swadge shoots and misses and Swadge takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Swadge with a lazy takedown attempt and Brockett decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Swadge's guard. Bud Brockett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tom Swadge.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brockett content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Brockett throws a big right hand that misses. Brockett postures up in Swadge's guard and throws a big left but Swadge blocks it. Swadge is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Swadge manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Swadge takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Bud Brockett will probably get the nod. That's time! Brockett's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Nicely done. Brockett with a flurry of punches that miss. Swadge is looking to stand up but Brockett isn't so interested in that idea. Brockett throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Swadge works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Brockett throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Swadge lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Brockett! Swadge sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Swadge can't control as he wanted to and Brockett manages to get the fight back to his half guard. Swadge trying to mount his opponent but Brockett defends it. Swadge is looking to take a break and control but Brockett is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Swadge is pressing down on Brockett's thigh, looking to free his foot. Brockett is holding on for now.

Brockett swivels though and keeps the full guard. Swadge wants to control from the top but Brockett keeps moving.

Swadge has his takedown stuffed and Brockett counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Brockett. Brockett is in close to Swadge's body, working some short punches and elbows. Brockett throws and elbow that misses. Swadge uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Brockett's guard. Nice move by Swadge! Tom Swadge has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Swadge looking to pass the guard. Brockett can't keep his opponent in guard - Swadge advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Swadge tries to pass to full mount but Brockett defends it. Swadge wants to work for an arm triangle but Brockett is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Brockett wants to get back to his feet. Bud Brockett is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Swadge thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
And that's the end of the fight! Bud Brockett showed his dominance in that final round. Well Brockett has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
