Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kenneth Tokmo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kazuyuki Miyata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kenneth Tokmo could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Kazuyuki Miyata's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenneth Tokmo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kazuyuki Miyata!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Kenichi Hosakawa and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tokmo tries to clinch but Miyata is having none of it.
Miyata looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Tokmo cracks the inside of Miyata's front leg.
A jab lands there for Tokmo.


It looks like Kazuyuki Miyata has been cut.

Tokmo drops Miyata with a beautiful combination! Miyata stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Tokmo is looking for the KO!


Miyata is rocked!
Miyata sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Miyata is still on wobbly legs! Can Tokmo finish him?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Miyata takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Miyata seems to have recovered his senses.
Tokmo goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Tokmo throws a leg kick which misses Miyata's front leg but catches the back leg as Miyata tries to avoid it.
Miyata takes a kick to the side of the head.
Some wild striking there from Tokmo.

Tokmo dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Miyata. That did some damage!
Tokmo shoots in and drives through. Miyata sprawls well.
Tokmo fails with a takedown attempt.
Tokmo tries to clinch there but Miyata circles away.
Tokmo scores with a one two! Miyata had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Tokmo lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Tokmo is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Tokmo throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Miyata's head.
Tokmo throws a head kick that looked like it stung.


That has opened up Kazuyuki Miyata's cut even more.
Good leg kick by Tokmo there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Tokmo lands an overhand right.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tokmo is defended easily by Miyata.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kenneth Tokmo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice takedown defense from Miyata. No joy for Tokmo on that attempt.
Miyata displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Tokmo.
Miyata swats away the attempt to clinch by Tokmo.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Miyata darts in and clinches Tokmo up against the cage.

Miyata gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Miyata trying to control the action but Tokmo is working from the bottom.
Tokmo is trying to stand up here but Miyata is controlling him well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Tokmo looking for submissions off his back.
Tokmo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Tokmo trying to hold on to Miyata's head to control him but Miyata postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Kazuyuki Miyata's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Tokmo lands with a kick to the temple. Miyata shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Tokmo shoots in for a double leg but Miyata sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Tokmo misses with a few strikes there.
Tokmo throws a head kick that half lands.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tokmo forces Miyata back against the cage and clinches.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Tokmo.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tokmo wants to break free but Miyata has control.
Tokmo is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Miyata is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Tokmo can't fight it off and eventually Miyata manages to take the fight to the floor. Tokmo looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Miyata wants to control from the top but Tokmo keeps moving.
Tokmo looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tokmo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Miyata can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Tokmo doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Miyata controlling from the top position.

Tokmo is looking for a triangle but Miyata pushes his legs off easily.
Miyata is stalling in the full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Kazuyuki Miyata.
Tokmo looks to clinch

and Miyata counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Miyata gets to his feet. Tokmo looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Kenneth Tokmo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A left lands for Tokmo.

Tokmo misses with a takedown

and Miyata counters with a nice double leg into guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kenneth Tokmo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Miyata seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Miyata trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Miyata trying to control the position from guard on top but Tokmo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Tokmo wants to stand and escape but Miyata is having none of it.
Miyata controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Miyata's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Tokmo lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Miyata!
Tokmo trying to control but he's not successful this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kazuyuki Miyata showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Tokmo goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tokmo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Miyata tries to roll over but Tokmo keeps him under control.
Tokmo wants to stand up but Miyata has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Miyata is positioning himself well to prevent Tokmo advancing to mount.
Kazuyuki Miyata has got the better of the ground game so far.
Tokmo thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Miyata to regain full guard.
Miyata looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Tokmo postures up.
Tokmo is looking to work some ground and pound but Miyata has wrist control.
Tokmo trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Tokmo tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Miyata counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Tokmo being controlled here, momentarily.
Miyata wants to control from the top but Tokmo keeps moving.
Tokmo wants to stand but Miyata is controlling the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tokmo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Tokmo is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Miyata is controlling him.
Miyata stays in close to Tokmo's body and controls the position.
Miyata stops Tokmo from standing up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
A slapping leg kick lands for Tokmo.
Miyata tries to clinch up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Tokmo misses with a takedown attempt

and Miyata counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Tokmo's guard now.
Miyata advances position into side control!
Miyata is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Tokmo's shoulder. That is not cool.
Tokmo is looking for a sweep.
Miyata staying calm.
Tokmo wants to get back to his feet but Miyata drags him back down.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Tokmo trying to remain calm as Miyata controls from the top position.
Tokmo manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Miyata is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Tokmo's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Tokmo's back!

And that's the end of the fight!
Kazuyuki Miyata comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Miyata has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
