Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between James Ennis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pablo Escobar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Escobar has chosen Hard In Da Paint (Instrumental) as his entrance music. Pablo Escobar will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Ennis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pablo Escobar! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Eliza Hachem and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Escobar tries to clinch up. Ennis circles away from the clinch attempt.
Escobar misses the shot to the body. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Ennis closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ennis lands in his opponent's guard. Ennis drops back, looking for a kneebar! Escobar looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Escobar looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Escobar! Ennis throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land. Escobar postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Escobar tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Ennis is looking for a sweep. Ennis is not content to let Escobar control the position. Ennis struggling a bit here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ennis misses with a strike from the bottom.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Ennis closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Escobar did well to prevent Ennis getting side control. Ennis scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Escobar scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Ennis manages to mount him!
Ennis swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Escobar is now in Ennis's guard. A big mistake from Ennis there, giving up the dominant position! Escobar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ennis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ennis looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Escobar decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Ennis, up you get! Ennis changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Escobar tries to avoid it but Ennis manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Escobar to the ground. Escobar escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Ennis attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ennis circles away from the clinch attempt.
Escobar wants to clinch. Escobar tries to close the distance and clinch but Ennis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Ennis tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Escobar swivels and escapes. Ennis is breathing heavily. Escobar doesn't manage to clinch there - Ennis circles away.
Ennis misses with a low kick. Ennis circles away from the clinch attempt.
Escobar bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. This has been an exciting period of action! Escobar tries to stand but Ennis is controlling his head. Ennis is trying to improve his position. Escobar tries to advance to mount but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ennis gets back to half guard. Ennis is trying to get back to full guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Ennis shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Escobar is trying to defend but Ennis finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Ennis prevents Escobar from improving his position. Ennis looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ennis is trying for a kimura here. Escobar looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Ennis wins by kimura!
