Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Forrest Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Gabel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tom Gabel has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Forrest Penn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tom Gabel! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A jab from Penn does it's job there. Gabel slips a straight right by Penn. Penn connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Gabel throws a hook but Penn blocks it. Penn misses with an uppercut. Gabel throws an overhand right that lands on Penn's shoulder, as Penn tries to avoid the shot. Gabel moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Penn misses with a jab, cross combination.
Penn misses with a looping right. Gabel shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Penn as he jumps to the side. Penn throws the left hand but Gabel avoids the punch easily. Penn displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gabel. Gabel takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Penn forces Gabel back against the cage and clinches. Gabel wants to break free but Penn has control.
Penn tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Gabel's elbow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gabel blocks a body shot from Penn. Gabel tries to work over Penn's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Gabel misses with a short punch on the inside. Gabel can't break the clinch.
Penn works on Gabel's body with a couple of short punches. A right handed body shot lands from Penn.
Penn lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Gabel or not. Gabel struggles to land a body shot inside as Penn controls his hands.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Penn takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Penn lands a shot to the body. Gabel looks gassed! Gabel has had enough of the clinch but Penn keeps him there for the moment. Penn's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Gabel just misses with a punch to the body.
Nice uppercut there from Penn.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gabel shoots in for a double leg but Penn sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Forrest Penn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tom Gabel. Penn throws a leg kick which misses Gabel's front leg but catches the back leg as Gabel tries to avoid it. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gabel has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Gabel there as he acknowledges the shot. Penn bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Gabel's head backwards. A good leg kick by Penn. Penn clobbers Gabel with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Tom Gabel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Penn drops Gabel with a big left hand! Gabel is injured, injured bad! Penn jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
