The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sancta fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Sancta fails with an attempt to clinch.
Sancta tries to clinch but Kakihara moves out of range.
Sancta is looking to clinch but Kakihara is avoiding it.
Sancta tries for a takedown but Kakihara sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Sancta misses with a two punch combination.
Kakihara tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

so Sancta counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Sancta is pushing down on Kakihara's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kakihara is fighting to maintain full guard but Sancta has managed to sneak the leg through.

Sancta wants to work for an arm triangle but Kakihara is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Kakihara is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kakihara pushes Sancta off and gets back to his feet.

Kakihara tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Sancta just stands there and leans against the cage.
Sancta jumps guard and drags Kakihara to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Sancta sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Sancta has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kakihara is working away from the top position though.
Kakihara works his foot free and advances to mount.
Kakihara goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Sancta turns into him and now he's in Kakihara's guard.
Kakihara manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Kakihara moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Sancta has worked his arm free - good work by Sancta!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Sancta manages to get back to half guard.
Kakihara is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Kakihara stops Sancta from getting back to his feet.
Sancta is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Kakihara is tapping! Great win for Sancta!
