Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Luke Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Kampmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kampmann has chosen Lil Wayne - Knockout ft. Nicki Minaj as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Martin Kampmann is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luke Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Martin Kampmann! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A lazy left from Jackson finds it's target. Kampmann looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Jackson moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Kampmann takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Kampmann gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Jackson trying to control but Kampmann is working from the bottom. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kampmann can do anything to dispel that myth. Jackson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Jackson wants to control from the top but Kampmann keeps moving. Jackson forces his way into half guard. Jackson is trying to control. Kampmann wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Kampmann is trying to stand up here but Jackson is controlling him well. Jackson content to control rather than advance. Kampmann is not content to let Jackson control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Kampmann is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Luke Jackson. Jackson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Jackson. Jackson moves into the clinch. Jackson lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Jackson has Kampmann pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Kampmann manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Jackson is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Kampmann gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Jackson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Jackson scores with a three punch combo!
Jackson clobbers Kampmann with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. A right-left combo lands from Jackson. Jackson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kampmann napping and manages to drive through into side control! Jackson scores with a couple of short elbows. Jackson trying to control the action but Kampmann is working from the bottom. Kampmann is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Jackson is controlling him well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson takes a little break here. Kampmann wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Jackson is looking to take a break and control but Kampmann is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jackson lands a nice forearm strike.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Jackson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kampmann as he avoids it easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kampmann closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Jackson is looking to escape. Jackson tries to roll over but Kampmann keeps him under control. Kampmann is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Jackson has managed to free his arm - good work. Jackson is defending against the submission attempts here by Kampmann.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Jackson fails with the takedown and Kampmann counters with a takedown into side control. Jackson is not content to let Kampmann control the position. Jackson can't do much from the bottom here. Jackson is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Jackson is trying to control but can't.

Martin Kampmann showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Jackson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Jackson moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Jackson lands a glancing blow to the side of Kampmann's head. Jackson closes the distance and lands a one-two. Jackson throws a series of strikes that have Kampmann backpedaling.

Jackson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Jackson shoots in looking for a takedown. Kampmann tries to sprawl out of it but Jackson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kampmann manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Jackson gets caught flat footed, as Kampmann shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kampmann is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Jackson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Jackson has escaped and now he's on top! Jackson is standing up over Kampmann. Kampmann looks to escape but Jackson dives into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson prevents Kampmann from escaping the position. Jackson trying to control the action but Kampmann is working from the bottom. Kampmann pushes Jackson away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Jackson gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Jackson trying to control the action but Kampmann is working from the bottom. Kampmann explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Kampmann shoots and misses and Jackson counters with a series of strikes. Kampmann will be more careful next time no doubt. Jackson dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Jackson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jackson wants it to stay on the feet. Jackson scores with a punch to the head. Jackson lands a jab-cross combination. Jackson with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Jackson lands with a shot to the body. Luke Jackson is winning the standup battle so far. Kampmann looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Kampmann drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Jackson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kampmann has Jackson in his guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jackson trying to control but Kampmann is working from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Luke Jackson. I think Jackson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
