Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Adilson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joao Rill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rill gets the takedown into side control.
Silva is not content to let Rill control the position.
Silva really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Silva is looking for a sweep.
Rill wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silva keeps working.
Rill advances to mount.
Rill putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Silva holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Rill tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Silva shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Rill is trying to defend but Silva finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Rill shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Silva as he avoids it easily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Rill is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Silva pushes Rill off looking to stand but Rill dives back in and keeps control.

Rill is keen to just control but Silva is a slippery customer.
Rill thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Silva's head.
Rill prevents Silva from standing back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Silva shoots in for a double leg but Rill sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Rill has Silva up against the cage in a clinch.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Rill gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Rill escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Silva pushes Rill up against the cage in a clinch.
Silva has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Rill avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Rill pulls guard.
Rill manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Rill closes the distance and clinches.
Rill throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Silvas head.
Rill lands a nice uppercut.
Silva drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Rill gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Silva is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Rill can't fight it off and eventually Silva manages to take the fight to the floor. Rill looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Rill wants to get back to his feet but Silva is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Rill scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Rill.

and Rill counters with a left and a right that stings Silva.

Rill shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Silva napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Rill looks up at the clock and then as Silva takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Rill smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Silva is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Rill is controlling him well.

Rill tries to score with some ground and pound. Silva controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Joao Rill comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Rill has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
