Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ramon Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie comes into the arena with Welcome to the Jungle blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ramon Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brock Lesnar! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lesnar looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gracie is fending him off so far but Lesnar persists. Nope, Gracie circles away and we're back to standing. Lesnar darts in and clinches Gracie up against the cage. Gracie tries for a takedown. No joy.
Lesnar manages to break the clinch.
Gracie shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Lesnar is trying to defend but Gracie finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Gracie with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Lesnar tries to get to full guard but Gracie has control of the leg. Gracie content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Gracie trying to control from half guard but Lesnar is working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie throwing shots but Lesnar is blocking nicely. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lesnar can do anything to dispel that myth. Gracie keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ramon Gracie. Gracie connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
It looks like Brock Lesnar has been cut. A lazy left from Gracie finds it's target. Lesnar looks gassed! Gracie forces Lesnar back against the cage and clinches. Gracie breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Gracie darts in trying to clinch and Lesnar counters with a nice double leg into guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gracie keeping full guard, as Lesnar tries to pass. Gracie trying to control the position here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lesnar looking to sit in guard and control but Gracie gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Gracie content to stall in guard here. Gracie has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie wants to control from the top but Lesnar keeps moving. Gracie postures up.
Lesnar can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Gracie controls the pace. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Gracie passes easily into side control. Nice work. Gracie landing a few strikes. Lesnar is looking for a sweep. Gracie scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Lesnar to see if he's OK. Gracie could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Lesnar seems a little lost for a moment, as Gracie dominates the positioning.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie working the ground and pound from side control. Lesnar is trying to escape the position but Gracie is controlling the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ramon Gracie. Gracie fails in his attempt to clinch. Lesnar takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Excellent takedown into side control there by Gracie. Gracie takes a little break here. Lesnar wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ramon Gracie dominated that round. The cut man is working on Brock Lesnar's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Gracie connects with a right hand. Lesnar shakes it off. Gracie wants to clinch but Lesnar slips to the side and Lesnar counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Gracie is leaning against Lesnar and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Lesnar wants to break free but Gracie has control.
Lesnar prevents the takedown attempt.
Gracie pressing his opponent against the cage. Gracie lands a damaging elbow. Gracie presses Lesnar against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Lesnar keeps control of Gracie as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Lesnar gets underhooks to prevent Gracie's takedown attempt.
Both guys are working to get underhooks. Gracie is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Lesnar can't fight it off and eventually Gracie manages to take the fight to the floor. Lesnar looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Lesnar is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gracie is aware though and is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Gracie passes Lesnar's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Gracie controlling the action here. Lesnar trying to control from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Lesnar is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Lesnar trying to control but Gracie postures up.
Gracie is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Gracie's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Lesnar takes a swing at Gracie's ribcage but misses. Jab by Gracie. Gracie misses with a body shot.
Gracie closes the distance looking to clinch and Lesnar counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Gracie is positioning himself well to prevent Lesnar advancing to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lesnar wants to pass the guard but Gracie is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lesnar seems to be looking for submissions.
Lesnar is trying to control the action in half guard but Gracie is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Lesnar is just content to waste time from the top position. Gracie takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Lesnar must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Gracie looking to sweep here. No luck so far. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Ramon Gracie will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Brock Lesnar's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Gracie looks to throw the jab but Lesnar is out of range. Ramon Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gracie moves out of range of the body kick. Gracie lands with an uppercut that bounces Lesnar off the cage and back into rage. Gracie moves into the clinch. Lesnar taking a breather. Gracie has Lesnar pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lesnar manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Gracie wants a takedown.
Lesnar is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Gracie is defending well for now. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Gracie as Lesnar tries to tie him up. Lesnar tries to pull guard but Gracie holds him up against the cage and eventually Lesnar drops back down to his feet.
Gracie looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Gracie is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Lesnar gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ramon Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lesnar tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Gracie just stands there and leans against the cage. Lesnar tries to break the clinch but Gracie is controlling the position. Lesnar is fighting off a takedown attempt but Gracie is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Lesnar to the mat. Lesnar regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Gracie wants to control from the top but Lesnar keeps moving. Gracie sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lesnar's guard. Gracie trying to control the action but Lesnar is working from the bottom. Gracie is really struggling to control Lesnar but he's trying to hold on to the position. Lesnar avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Gracie. Gracie performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ramon Gracie. Some wild striking there from Lesnar.
Nice takedown defense from Lesnar. No joy for Gracie on that attempt. Lesnar scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gracie parries the strikes from Lesnar easily there. Lesnar is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Gracie to escape.
Gracie can't do much from the bottom here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lesnar wants to control for a moment but Gracie uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Gracie is looking to improve his position.
Lesnar is thwarting Gracie's attempts to control the position. Ramon Gracie is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Lesnar looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Lesnar trying to control from half guard but Gracie is working away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Gracie shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Lesnar manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Brock Lesnar has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Gracie is stalling in the full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Ramon Gracie showed his dominance in that final round. Well Gracie has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
