Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Brookins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Nolan!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Paul Tew and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nolan fails to land with a series of punches.
Brookins throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Brookins throws a combination that misses
and Nolan counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Brookins is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Nolan tries to clinch but Brookins moves out of range.
Brookins throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Brookins will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Nolan gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Brookins tries to score a body lock takedown but Nolan shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Nolan has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Brookins clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Nolan's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Nolan wants to clinch.

Nolan throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Nolan throws a leg kick but Brookins moved away.
Nolan slips a jab and a cross from Brookins.

Brookins bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Brookins decides to stand back up.
Nolan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Brookins paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Nolan counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Nolan looks gassed!

Brookins holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Brookins moves into full guard.
Brookins tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Brookins throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Nolan avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Brookins has Nolan pulled in close to control his posture.

Brookins keeping moving, preventing Nolan from controlling successfully.
Brookins managing to control the position.
Brookins looking to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Chris Nolan will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Nolan moves into the clinch.

Nolan can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Brookins controls the pace.
Nolan is trying to keep Brookins in close.

Brookins drops back, looking for a kneebar! Nolan looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Nolan looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Nolan!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brookins can't do much from the bottom here.

Brookins has one of Nolan's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
Nolan looking to control but instead Brookins has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Brookins gets back to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Michael Brookins.

Brookins drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Nolan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brookins. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Nolan looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Brookins forces his way into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Nolan trying to control but Brookins postures up.
Brookins takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Brookins wants to free his trapped foot but Nolan is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Nolan is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Brookins perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Brookins decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Nolan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Brookins wants to stand and escape but Nolan is having none of it.

Brookins manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Nolan fails with an attempt to clinch.
Nolan tries to clinch up but Brookins circles away and keeps his distance.

Brookins looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Brookins counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Nolan!
Nolan is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Nolan is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Brookins has taken his back!

Brookins is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nolan is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Brookins.
Brookins is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Nolan up.

Brookins throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Nolan!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Brookins is punishing Nolan with strikes - can he finish him?!
Brookins controlling well, preventing Nolan from escaping the position.
Brookins lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Brookins.
Brookins is landing with strikes from the back.
Brookins lands a shot to the body.
Brookins has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Nolan's body.

Nolan is looking to escape here. Oh dear - Brookins has locked on a rear naked choke here! Nolan is tapping out! The fight is over!
