Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, DropKick Murphy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jamal Reis! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Nard Betker and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reis lands with a shot to the body. Murphy misses the shot to the body. Murphy throws a body punch but Reis moves out of range. Reis moves into the clinch. Reis leaning his opponent against the cage. Reis lands with a left to the head. Reis will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Murphy up against the cage. Murphy wants to get back to striking at distance but Reis won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. A shot in the inside from Reis. Reis manages to break the clinch.
Reis connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Murphy throws a big shot that misses. DropKick Murphy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Reis clinches up against the cage. Murphy can't find room to land a body shot as Reis controls the action.
Murphy tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Reis's elbow. Reis throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Murphys head. Stalling in the clinch from Reis.
Murphy tries to break the clinch but Reis is controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reis lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Reis lands a left hand that snaps the head of Murphy backwards. Reis lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Murphy backwards. Murphy blocking some punches.
Reis keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Murphy's efforts to push away. Reis lands a right hand that snaps the head of Murphy backwards. Good body shot from Reis.

Reis lands a shot to the body. Reis lands with a light punch inside.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reis has Murphy pressed against the cage, preventing Murphy from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Reis lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Reis tries to land knees in the clinch but Murphy avoids the damage to the body. Murphy working hard to break the clinch. Reis lands a left hand that snaps the head of Murphy backwards. Reis has Murphy pushed against the cage. Reis is pressed up against the cage. Murphy has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Reis down to the mat. Reis avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Reis keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Murphy. Murphy slips under a jab from Reis. Reis tries to bum rush Murphy with a series of wild strikes but Murphy uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Murphy misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Reis.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Reis moves into range and clinches up with Murphy. Reis is struggling to control the position. Murphy wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Reis has him pressed against the cage. Murphy takes a knee to the side of the body. Murphy takes an elbow to the forehead. Murphy tries to break the clinch but Reis is controlling the position. Reis scores with a shoulder strike. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Reis is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Murphy is defending well for now. A short right from Reis on the inside. Reis working some nice short punches in the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jamal Reis dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Reis works the jab nicely. Murphy takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Murphy tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Reis was well out of range. Poor timing from Murphy. Murphy fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Reis looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Reis ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Murphy moves away. Murphy cracks a nice hook into Reis's ribs. Some wild striking there from Murphy.

That's one minute gone in the round. Reis lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
It looks like DropKick Murphy has been cut. Murphy tries to circle away but Reis has him pinned against the cage. Reis prevents Murphy from breaking the clinch. Reis lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Murphy is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. A body shot lands from Reis.
Murphy takes a shot to the head. Reis will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Murphy up against the cage. Reis pushes Murphy back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. A short body shot lands from Reis as the two fighters clinch.
The referee calls for Reis to work.
Reis pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Reis thuds his right hand into Murphy's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Reis on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Reis on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
It looks like Jamal Reis has been cut. Murphy fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Reis on the side of the head.
Reis is rocked! Murphy fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Reis looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Reis is still on wobbly legs! Can Murphy finish him? Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Murphy ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Reis's jaw. Reis's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Murphy does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). DropKick Murphy!
