Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Travis Casada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremi Jeremiski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Travis Casada!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jeremi Jeremiski!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jeremiski closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Casada to the mat! Casada manages to get full guard.
Casada looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jeremiski is one step ahead there.
Jeremiski content to stall in guard here.
Casada not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jeremiski wants to control from the top but Casada keeps moving.
Casada might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Jeremiski prevents Casada from getting back to his feet.
Jeremiski must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Casada is trying to keep Jeremiski in close.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Jeremiski clinches up with Casada and pushes him back against the cage.

Jeremiski breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Casada is defended easily by Jeremiski.
Jeremiski shoots in looking for a takedown. Casada tries to sprawl out of it but Jeremiski keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Casada manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Jeremiski counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Jeremiski thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Casada's head.
Jeremiski is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Jeremiski is stalling here. Casada is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Jeremiski seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Casada has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Casada postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
You can see the frustration on Jeremiski's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Jeremiski misses with a strike from the bottom.
Jeremiski is looking to regain half guard here but Casada keeps moving and retains side control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Jeremiski wants to clinch.
Casada takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Jeremiski tries to score a power double leg takedown but Casada sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jeremiski somewhat.

Jeremiski has taken the fight to the clinch.
Casada tries to work over Jeremiski's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Casada can't get the takedown.

Jeremiski has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Casada is working away from the top position though.

Jeremiski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Casada. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jeremiski stands up and beckons Casada to join him on the feet.

Casada closes the distance and pushes Jeremiski back into the cage.

Jeremiski is leaning against Casada and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Jeremiski gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Casada regains guard.
Jeremi Jeremiski has got the better of the ground game so far.

Jeremiski stands up and waves to Casada to follow him.
Casada throws a combination that misses

and Jeremiski holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Jeremiski misses with a knee to the head.
Jeremiski is trying to break the clinch but Casada is controlling him.
Casada wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Jeremiski tries for a takedown but Casada manages to get underhooks.
Travis Casada has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeremi Jeremiski.
Casada misses with a short punch on the inside.
A frustrated look appears on Casada's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Casada tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jeremiski smiles and moves away.
Casada moves out of range of the body kick.

Jeremiski looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Jeremiski got a little sloppy there for a moment and Casada has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jeremiski has managed to get both his arms back between Casada's legs - danger averted.
Casada lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Jeremiski!

Jeremiski tries to lock up and control but Casada gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Jeremi Jeremiski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Jeremiski throws out a leg kick but Casada moves out of range and Jeremiski only half commits.

Jeremiski pushes Casada up against the cage in a clinch.

Jeremiski has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Casada clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Casada trying to control but not successfully.
Casada breaks Jeremiski's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Casada stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jeremiski swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Casada won't allow Jeremiski to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Jeremiski looking to hit a scissor sweep but Casada is one step ahead there.
Casada stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jeremiski swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jeremiski looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Jeremiski is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Casada lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jeremiski circles away quickly and effectively.

Jeremiski fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Casada sprawls well initially but Jeremiski persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Casada is not content to let Jeremiski control the position.
Jeremiski is nestled in close to Casada, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Jeremiski seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jeremi Jeremiski.

Jeremiski shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jeremiski showed some decent athleticism there.

Well, if Jeremiski is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Well Jeremiski has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
