Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rickson Kerr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Akuma Inoue! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Inoue!
Inoue lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Kerr at a distance.
Inoue fails to land with a series of punches.
Kerr shoots in looking for a takedown. Inoue tries to sprawl out of it but Kerr keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Inoue manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Inoue is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Kerr misses with a double jab.
Akuma Inoue seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Inoue!
Inoue lands a slapping body shot.
Kerr tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Decent striking displayed by Inoue there. Kerr dodges the punch combination from Inoue.

Inoue throws a series of strikes that have Kerr backpedaling.
Inoue defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kerr. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kerr takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Inoue throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Inoue lands a nice shot to the body.
Inoue stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rickson Kerr. That's going to take a lot out of him. A combination from Kerr does no damage. Inoue lands with a shot to the body. Kerr ducks right into an uppercut from Inoue. Inoue fails to land with a series of punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kerr swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Inoue stalks Kerr and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kerr's face. Kerr staggers backwards, shaken. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Kerr. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Inoue lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Kerr tries to clinch but Inoue is having none of it. Kerr fails in his attempt to clinch. Inoue throws a series of strikes that have Kerr backpedaling.
Kerr is rocked! Kerr seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Inoue shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Kerr is backing up but Inoue catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Kerr covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Inoue Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Akuma Inoue!
