Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Shawn Spencer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Oscar Sanchez! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Donatello Bradman and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spencer fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sanchez manages to avoid it. Spencer misses with a straight right. Spencer misses with a few strikes there.
Sanchez throws a sloppy body shot
and Spencer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Spencer slips a jab from Sanchez. Sanchez takes a swing at Spencer's ribcage but misses. Sanchez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Excellent takedown into side control there by Sanchez. Spencer throws Sanchez to one side and escapes! No luck for Sanchez with that takedown attempt. Spencer misses the shot to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sanchez looks to land a left hand but Spencer moved out of range nicely. Spencer scores with a sloppy right hand. Sanchez should have avoided that one. Spencer throws a right hand that Sanchez ducks under and follows up with a left that Sanchez also avoids with ease. Sanchez tries to clinch up but Spencer circles away and keeps his distance. Spencer connects with a jab. A jab from Spencer misses. Spencer swats away the attempt to clinch by Sanchez. Spencer bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Spencer misses with a jab, cross combination.
Oscar Sanchez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sanchez fails in his attempt to clinch. Sanchez misses with a hook. Spencer ducked under it nicely. A jab lands there for Spencer. Sanchez closes the distance and clinches. Sanchez drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Spencer gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Spencer stands and throws Sanchez's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spencer is trying to get an arm triangle but Sanchez is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. You can see the frustration on Sanchez's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Sanchez is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Spencer's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Spencer! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Sanchez has tapped! This one is allllll over!
