Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Erik Renfrew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Knighton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knighton has chosen Move by Thousand Foot Krutch as his entrance music. Danny Knighton is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Erik Renfrew!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Danny Knighton!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Steve Montenegro and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Renfrew tries to clinch up.

Renfrew closes the distance and pushes Knighton back into the cage.
Knighton drops down looking for an ankle pick but Renfrew pulls his leg out and moves away.
Renfrew moves in looking to clinch but Knighton pushes him off.
Renfrew misses with a double jab.
Renfrew is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Renfrew looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Renfrew tries to close the distance and clinch but Knighton swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Renfrew is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Knighton is defending well for now.

Horrible takedown by Knighton or perhaps it was just good defense by Renfrew which made him look bad.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Knighton has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Renfrew avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Renfrew gets caught flat footed, as Knighton shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Renfrew has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Knighton is working away from the top position though.

Knighton is looking for a kimura but Renfrew is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Knighton to get the leverage.

Knighton drops back looking for a leg! Renfrew is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Renfrew manages to kick Knighton off! Knighton jumps back into Renfrew's guard.
Renfrew wants to get back to his feet but Knighton is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Danny Knighton showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

I've got Knighton winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
