Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sparing Bjj (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Octavio Paixao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bjj comes into the arena with 50 cent feat. eminem, cashis & lloyd banks - You don't know blaring out of the sound system. Paixao has chosen "Death by Blonde" by Devotchka as his entrance music. Octavio Paixao has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fighters circling - Paixao throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Octavio Paixao seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Paixao tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bjj paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Bjj drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
