Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fred Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Shrek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Frank Shrek enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fred Lesnar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Frank Shrek!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Vladimir Khabensky and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lesnar tries to clinch but Shrek moves out of range.
No joy there for Lesnar, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Shrek shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lesnar sprawls well. Lesnar wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Shrek gets slowly back to his feet.
Shrek avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Shrek.
Lesnar tries to clinch but Shrek is having none of it.
Shrek will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The fight stays on the outside here - Lesnar looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lesnar tries to lock up and control but Shrek gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Shrek has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Lesnar wants to control but Shrek is having none of it.

Shrek jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Lesnar manages to avoid the submission attempt.

A close round but Frank Shrek will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Shrek shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lesnar pinned against the cage. Lesnar gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Lesnar closes the distance and clinches up with Shrek, looking for a takedown. Lesnar pushes Shrek against the cage but Shrek circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Shrek rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lesnar moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Lesnar here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
