Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bruce The Dragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyrone Bate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Tyrone Bate was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bruce The Dragon! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tyrone Bate! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The Dragon throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Bate. Bate takes a head kick and keeps coming.
A nice leg kick lands there from The Dragon. A slapping leg kick lands for The Dragon.
Bate swings for the body but The Dragon moves out of range.
The Dragon connects with a solid leg kick. The Dragon misses with a head kick.
Bate drives through with a takedown into guard. Bate postures up in The Dragon's guard and throws a big left but The Dragon blocks it. Bate is looking to work some ground and pound but The Dragon has wrist control. Bate with a flurry of punches that miss. Bate trying to control but The Dragon is working from the bottom. Bate stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. The Dragon swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bate loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Bate thows a big elbow that misses. Bate throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as The Dragon works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. The Dragon uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bate.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. The Dragon tries to land a leg kick but Bate saw it coming and moves away.

The Dragon connects with a solid leg kick. Bate shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as The Dragon sprawls well. The Dragon wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bate gets slowly back to his feet. Bate throws a hook but The Dragon blocks it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The Dragon feints and then cracks Bate's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bate down. The Dragon throws and low kick but Bate moves out of range easily. Bate ducks down and throws a hook to the body but The Dragon moves away. Bruce The Dragon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bate is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by The Dragon. A bone on bone clash there as Bate blocks the leg kick.
Bate's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. The Dragon tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Bate just misses with a punch to the body.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Bate crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from The Dragon - the referee stops the clock and Bate gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says The Dragon. Bate manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. The Dragon wants to slow Bate down by chopping away at his legs. Bate throws a body punch but The Dragon moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. The Dragon looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Bate tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bate has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

And that's the end of the fight! Bruce The Dragon showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for The Dragon, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
