Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Drunken Hare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dirk Diggler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Drunken Hare! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Dirk Diggler! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Colin Fotheringham and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hare drops Diggler with a right and a left! Hare comes rushing in but Diggler regains his composure and manages to keep Hare in guard.
Diggler is rocked!
It looks like Dirk Diggler has been cut. Diggler looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! This has been an exciting period of action! Diggler has momentary wrist control but Hare slips an elbow through the middle. Diggler is still in real trouble! Can Hare finish him? Hare controlling from the top position. Hare trying to control but Diggler is working from the bottom. Diggler seems to have recovered his senses. Diggler working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hare. Hare trying to control but Diggler is working from the bottom. Hare stopping the sweep attempt from Diggler. Hare trying to control but Diggler is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hare looking to pass the guard. Hare has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Diggler escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hare gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Hare digs a good hook to Diggler's body.
Hare tries to clinch up but Diggler circles away and keeps his distance. Hare misses with a takedown attempt - Diggler sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Hare will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Hare forces Diggler back against the cage and clinches. Hare looking to throw knees to the head but Diggler is blocking nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Diggler won't allow Hare to get back to his feet. Hare might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Hare manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hare moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Diggler has worked his arm free - good work by Diggler!
Diggler is trying to control Hare's posture but Hare avoids it. Diggler is looking for a sweep. Hare wants to lay and pray for a moment but Diggler keeps working. Diggler really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hare. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Diggler is looking for a sweep. Hare is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Diggler has escaped the position, nice work there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diggler regains half guard, as Hare was trying to land strikes. Diggler missing with punches from the bottom.

Hare is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Diggler is staying active underneath Hare, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Hare is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Diggler is just riding it out for now. Hare eventually gives up the hold.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hare moves nicely into side control. Hare is looking to take a break and control but Diggler is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Hare is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Diggler knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Hare landing a few strikes. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Diggler takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Hare looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Diggler won't allow Hare to pass to mount. Hare stands up out of the half guard. Hare fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Diggler manages to avoid it. Hare has closed the distance and engaged Diggler in a clinch.
Diggler pulls guard. Hare trying to control the position from guard on top but Diggler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hare working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Diggler's head. Hare slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Diggler keeping moving, preventing Hare from controlling successfully. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hare gets to his feet - Diggler follows without any prompting. Hare tries to clinch but Diggler moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diggler lunges at Hare with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Hare's hand. Hare tries to clinch up. Hare misses the shot to the body. Hare misses with a wild body shot. Hare tries to clinch up. Hare closes the distance and clinches up with Diggler, looking for a takedown. Hare pushes Diggler against the cage but Diggler circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Diggler stuffs the takedown. Diggler fails with the takedown. Hare scores with a takedown into Diggler's guard. Hare trying to control the position from guard on top but Diggler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hare is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hare chips away with some ground and pound. Hare passes easily into side control. Nice work. Hare trying to control the position but Diggler is working away. Hare wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Diggler, who protects the arm well. Hare grinds an elbow into Diggler's temple.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hare decides to stand back up. Hare tries to clinch up. Diggler circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hare moves into range and clinches up with Diggler. Diggler fails to pull guard.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Drunken Hare. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hare prevents the takedown attempt.
Diggler keeps control of Hare as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Hare breaks the clinch.
Diggler is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Hare throws a right hand that Diggler ducks under and follows up with a left that Diggler also avoids with ease. Hare misses with a takedown attempt and Diggler counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Hare wants to get back to full guard but Diggler has mounted him! Hare is looking to improve his position but Diggler isn't that keen on the idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hare slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Hare manages to regain full guard. Nice work. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Hare is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Hare tries a low kick but Diggler avoids it. Hare with a poor takedown and Diggler counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Hare tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Diggler paws at him with a jab and circles away. Hare clinches with his opponent.
Diggler is trying to break the clinch but Hare has him pressed against the cage. Diggler gets underhooks to prevent Hare's takedown attempt.

Hare manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Hare bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Diggler's guard. Hare pushes down on Diggler's leg and manages to get into half guard. Diggler is staying active underneath Hare, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Hare lands strikes from half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Hare is trying to work for a kimura but Diggler is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round. Diggler looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hare is one step ahead there. Hare trying to control the position from guard on top but Diggler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hare stays in close to Diggler's body and controls the position. Hare works a leg free and moves into half guard. Hare uses his free foot to push down on Diggler's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Diggler. BOOM! Hare connects with a massive shot to the dome!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hare trying to control but he's not successful this time. Hare content just to control the position here. Hare landing strikes from the mount. Hare controlling from mount. Hare can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Diggler is looking to escape. Hare goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Diggler turns into him and now he's in Hare's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hare has Diggler pulled in close to control his posture. Hare is looking for a triangle but Diggler pushes his legs off easily.

Drunken Hare overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Diggler stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hare swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hare working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Diggler doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Diggler manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Diggler looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Hare is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Hare uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Hare feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Hare sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Diggler's guard. Hare throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Hare decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Diggler gets caught flat footed, as Hare shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hare stands up from guard. Let's bang! Diggler swats away the attempt to clinch by Hare. Dirk Diggler has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Diggler slow jab from Hare misses its intended target.
And that's the end of the fight! Drunken Hare showed his dominance in that final round. Well Hare has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
