Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ray Marsh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vegas Pop! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marsh fails to land the takedown. Pop misses with a double jab.
Pop uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Marsh.

Marsh thows a body shot but no joy. Marsh looks to score with a jab to the body but Pop is just out of range. Pop throws a nice looking combination but Marsh bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Pop avoids the body shot from Marsh.

and Marsh counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Marsh stays in close to Pop's body and controls the position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Pop wants to stand up but Marsh is controlling him. Pop is trying to control the position but Marsh postures up. Marsh controlling from the top position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Vegas Pop will probably get the nod - 10:9. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Pop stalks Marsh and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Marsh's face. Marsh staggers backwards, shaken. Pop tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Pop lands with a kick to the temple. Marsh shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Marsh scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marsh shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Pop manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Pop keeping moving, preventing Marsh from controlling successfully. Pop wants to stand up but Marsh is controlling him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Marsh trying to control the position from guard on top but Pop is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Marsh is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Pop is looking to stand up but Marsh isn't so interested in that idea.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marsh wanted to stand there but Pop had control of the position. Pop can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Marsh controls the pace.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Marsh dives in and grabs Pop's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pop pushes down on Marsh's head and hops out. Pop lands with a slapping head kick. Pop moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Vegas Pop seems to be getting the better of the standup. Pop tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Pop connects with a high kick. A head kick by Pop misses and Marsh counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Pop's guard now. Vegas Pop is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Marsh won't allow Pop to get back to his feet. Ray Marsh has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Pop trying to keep a closed guard but Marsh is proving a slippery customer.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ray Marsh. I think Pop has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
