Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clark Soares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zurkumi Tahir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Soares's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Eye of the Tiger. Zurkumi Tahir is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soares shoots in for a takedown but Tahir shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Soares throws a nice outside leg kick.
Soares comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Soares lands a jab to Tahir's midsection.
Tahir looks gassed!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Soares will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A slapping leg kick lands for Soares.
Soares throws a right hand that Tahir ducks under and follows up with a left that Tahir also avoids with ease.
Soares lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Soares.
Tahir gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Soares wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Tahir takes a head kick and keeps coming.

It looks like Zurkumi Tahir has been cut.
Soares shoots in for a takedown but Tahir shows good takedown defense.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clark Soares. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Soares cracks the inside of Tahir's front leg.

Soares throws a left that rocks Tahir and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Soares dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Tahir regain composure!

Soares has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Tahir is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Soares yanks on the arm and Tahir is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Soares.
