Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nick James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andreas Webster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nick James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andreas Webster!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Summer Carpenter and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James swinging wildly here.

James closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Webster to the mat! Webster manages to get full guard.
Webster working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from James.
Webster keeping moving, preventing James from controlling successfully.
Webster avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Webster wants to get back to his feet but James is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
James throwing strikes but missing.
James throwing strikes but missing.
James missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
James throws a strike but Webster rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

James escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Webster gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Webster feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
James is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Webster tries to free his leg and advance position but James is retaining full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Webster is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Webster is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! James is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! James has escaped and now he's on top!
James has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
James scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
James throws and elbow that misses. Webster uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in James's guard. Nice move by Webster!
Webster trying to control but James is working from the bottom.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Webster postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! James is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Webster, into his guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
James trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
James pushes down on Webster's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Well, if James is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
James trying to control the action but Webster is working from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
James stalling away here and it's allowed Webster to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Webster working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from James.
James thows a big elbow that misses.
Webster has momentary wrist control but James slips an elbow through the middle.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
James throws a strike but Webster rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Webster wants to stand but James is controlling his posture from full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nick James dominated that round.
That's time! James's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Webster ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Webster doesn't succeed with the takedown
and James counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Webster dips to his left and cracks James with an uppercut!
James throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Nice shot lands for Webster.
No joy there for James, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
James displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Webster checks a leg kick.
Webster uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from James.
Webster fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

James shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than James was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
James misses with some ground and pound and Webster recovers position to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
James thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Webster pushes James off looking to stand but James dives back in and keeps control.

James seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Webster is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Nick James!
