Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cole Hamels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oliver Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oliver Khan is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cole Hamels! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Oliver Khan! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Steve Montenegro and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hamels tries for a takedown but Khan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Khan has closed the distance and engaged Hamels in a clinch.
Khan pulls guard successfully.
Khan striking off his back but it's not causing Hamels any problems. Hamels preventing the sweep. Hamels pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Khan is keeping the position for now. Hamels preventing the sweep. Hamels pushing down on Khan's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Khan wants to improve his position but Hamels is controlling well.
Khan looks like he's trying to stand up.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Khan has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Hamels tries to clinch up and Khan moves into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hamels tries to break the clinch but Khan is controlling the position. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Khan is leaning against Hamels and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Khan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Khan gets in close and instigates a clinch. Hamels tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Khan just stands there and leans against the cage. Khan scores with an uppercut up the middle. Hamels tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cole Hamels. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hamels tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Khan smiles and moves away.
Hamels shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Hamels is breathing heavily. Khan is wriggling around trying to escape.
Khan is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Khan gives up his back whilst trying to strike.
Khan tries to break free.
Hamels is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Khan is defending well though. Hamels let's go of the attempt for now. Khan is in bad spot here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Khan covering up well under a barage of strikes. Khan manages to reverse the position and now he's in Hamels's guard. Nice work there by Khan.
Hamels wants to get back to his feet but Khan is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Khan is working Hamels over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Hamels wants to stand up but Khan is controlling him. Hamels looking to hit a scissor sweep but Khan is one step ahead there. Hamels is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hamels is looking for a triangle but Khan pushes his legs off easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hamels is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Khan is controlling him. Hamels is trying to control the position but Khan postures up. Hamels has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Hamels utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Khan works over Hamels with some ground and pound from guard. Hamels tries to land a sweep but no joy. Khan throws a big right hand that misses.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Khan fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Hamels checks it well. Khan looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Hamels! Hamels wants to control but Khan is having none of it. Khan lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A nice elbow there by Khan. Khan fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Khan cracks Hamels with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Hamels gets back to half guard. Khan wants to take a breather but Hamels is having none of it. Hamels looks like he's trying to stand up.

Hamels is pressing down on Khan's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Hamels throws some shots to the body, keeping his opponent honest.
Hamels bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Khan's guard. Hamels trying to control the position from guard on top but Khan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Oliver Khan will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Nice takedown defense from Khan. No joy for Hamels on that attempt. Hamels tries for a takedown but Khan circles away easily and Khan counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Khan works over Hamels with some ground and pound from guard. Khan throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Khan keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Hamels's head. Hamels manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Khan can do anything to dispel that myth. Hamels trying to control but he's not successful this time. Khan tries to lock up and control but Hamels gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Hamels trying to control but he's not successful this time. Khan is in all sorts of trouble here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Khan is squirming around, avoiding Hamels's attempts to control the action.
That's one minute gone in the round. Khan is looking to improve his position but Hamels isn't that keen on the idea. Hamels thowing shots but they're missing. Hamels trying to control but Khan is having none of it. Khan can't escape the position.
Hamels is working to isolate an arm here. It's a choreographed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Hamels extends the arm and Khan is forced to tap!
