The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Smith misses with an attempted mid kick.
Chong moves out of range as Smith strikes.
Chong fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Smith on the side of the head.
A slapping body kick lands there for Smith.
Chong thows a body shot but no joy.

Smith throws a nice head kick!

It looks like Tommie Chong has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Smith thows a left - swing and a miss!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Chong crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Smith - the referee stops the clock and Chong gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Smith. Chong manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Chong is breathing heavily.
Smith cracks Chong with a right hand to the side of the head.
Smith throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Smith throws a sloppy head kick and Chong moves out of range easily.
Smith goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Smith throws a head kick that misses.
Smith avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Smith. Chong does a little dance to reset his feet.
Smith throws a sloppy head kick and Chong moves out of range easily.
Chong lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Smith tests Chong's chin there with a solid looking shot.
A left and a right from Chong both land. Nice combination.

Smith turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Chong misses with a series of wild punches.
Chong's corner calls for a 1-2. Chong obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Chong throws a nice looking combination but Smith bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Smith takes one to the side of the head.
An inside leg kick from Smith misses.
Smith tries a head kick but it misses.
Chong sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Chong has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Smith.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Chong moves away from the strike by Smith.
Smith connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Chong momentarily.
Smith misses with a head kick.
Smith lands a nice looking body kick.
Smith lands a really nice looking cross but Chong seems unphased.
John Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Smith lands a big head kick that sends Chong tumbling to the mat! Smith takes a step backwards and waves Chong back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Chong is rocked!
Smith seems to be stalking Chong here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Chong drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
