Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Shlemenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zaur MammadoV (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Dmitry Maklakov and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MammadoV tries to close the distance and clinch up but Shlemenko swats him away and circles back towards the center.

He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Shlemenko gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Shlemenko apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Shlemenko shoots in for a double leg but MammadoV sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Shlemenko has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
MammadoV wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Alexander Shlemenko just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

MammadoV gets caught flat footed, as Shlemenko shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Shlemenko is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Shlemenko seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down MammadoV for as long as he can get away with.
Shlemenko will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Shlemenko's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

That's time! Shlemenko's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Shlemenko throws a jab but it's blocked by MammadoV.

Shlemenko feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Shlemenko not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

MammadoV looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Shlemenko has picked MammadoV up and slammed him! MammadoV can't keep hold of the triangle and Shlemenko manages to pass to side control!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Alexander Shlemenko.

Oooh a big shot gets through from Shlemenko. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

MammadoV is trying to defend against the choke here but Shlemenko has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Shlemenko Tightens the hold and MammadoV taps out furiously! Shlemenko displays superior BJJ to win the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Alexander Shlemenko!
