The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith forces Goreman back against the cage and clinches.
Smith gets underhooks to prevent Goreman's takedown attempt.
Goreman blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Smith turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Smith manages to end up in side control.
Goreman sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Goreman is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Smith's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Smith's back!
I really don't envy Smith right now.
Goreman has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Smith has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Goreman has got one arm under Smith's chin. This could be trouble... Smith trying to control the other hand but Goreman gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Smith has tapped out! The fight is over!
