Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jason Focault (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mick Frey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Focault throws an overhand right that lands on Frey's shoulder, as Frey tries to avoid the shot.
Frey slips under a jab from Focault.
Frey closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Focault is trying to improve his position.
Focault is working hard here to advance position.
Frey remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Frey shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Focault is trying to defend but Frey finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Frey decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Frey moves into range and clinches up with Focault.
Focault looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Frey has Focault pressed against the cage, preventing Focault from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Frey turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Frey manages to end up in side control.

and Frey counters with a three punch combo that has Focault backing up. Focault nods at Frey to acknowledge the strikes.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Frey forces Focault back against the cage and clinches.

Focault postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Frey is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Focault, into his guard.
Frey stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Focault swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Frey gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Mick Frey is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Frey shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Focault is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Frey is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Mick Frey comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Frey has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
