Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sean Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paul Taylor is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sean Parker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Paul Taylor!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor shoots in but no luck this time.
Parker throws a sloppy head kick and Taylor moves out of range easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Taylor is defended easily by Parker.

Taylor fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Parker sprawls well initially but Taylor persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Parker is staying active underneath Taylor, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Taylor thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Parker's head.
Taylor has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Taylor is keen to just control but Parker is a slippery customer.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Taylor wants to get back to his feet but Parker drags him back down.

Taylor pushes Parker away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Parker gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Taylor accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Parker shoots in for a takedown but Taylor shows good takedown defense.
