PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alex Bader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kina Kjell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kjell tries to clinch there but Bader circles away.
Kjell shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bader as he jumps to the side.

It looks like Alex Bader has been cut.

Bader wants to stand up but Kjell is controlling him.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Kjell shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bader is trying to defend but Kjell finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's time! Bader's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Bader jumps guard but Kjell stands there with Bader around his waist. Bader gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Horrible takedown by Bader or perhaps it was just good defense by Kjell which made him look bad.

The fight stays on the outside here - Kjell looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Kjell throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Bader shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kjell as he avoids it easily.

Kjell closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Kjell tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kjell has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Kjell looks up at the clock and then as Bader takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Kjell smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Bader manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Kjell has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Kjell looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bader with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Kina Kjell comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kjell has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
