Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Dan Cooper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mnason Proteus!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Vladimir Khabensky and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Proteus misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Proteus shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Proteus showed some decent athleticism there.
Cooper is trying to stand up here but Proteus is controlling him well.
Proteus is trying to control. Cooper wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Proteus is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Cooper tries to kick Proteus off but Proteus keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Proteus tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Cooper displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Proteus.
Proteus instigates a clinch.
Cooper tries to break free but Proteus pushes him back against the cage.
Proteus breaks the clinch.
Cooper defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Proteus.
Dan Cooper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mnason Proteus.
Cooper displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Proteus.
Proteus is looking to clinch.
Cooper scores with a jab. Proteus acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
It looks like Mnason Proteus has been cut.
Proteus throws a head kick that half lands.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Proteus tries to clinch but Cooper is having none of it.
A looping hook to the body misses from Cooper. Proteus does a little dance to reset his feet.
Proteus slips a jab from Cooper.
Horrible takedown by Proteus or perhaps it was just good defense by Cooper which made him look bad.
Cooper throws out a loose jab but Proteus uses good head movement to avoid it.
Cooper connects with a good right hand that stumbles Proteus. Proteus circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Proteus fails with an attempt to clinch.
Proteus shoots in and drives through. Cooper sprawls well.
Cooper swings for the body but Proteus moves out of range.
Proteus tries for a takedown but Cooper sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Dan Cooper is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Proteus looks gassed!
Proteus shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cooper pinned against the cage. Cooper gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cooper ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Proteus moves away.
Proteus tries to clinch up but Cooper circles away and keeps his distance.
Proteus wants to clinch.
Cooper misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Proteus.
Proteus tries for a takedown but Cooper sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Proteus closes the distance and clinches up with Cooper, looking for a takedown. Proteus pushes Cooper against the cage but Cooper circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Cooper avoids the head kick by Proteus.
Mnason Proteus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cooper digs a good body shot into Proteus's ribs.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Cooper waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Proteus.
Proteus with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Cooper to score with a decent uppercut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Proteus is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Cooper doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Proteus crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Proteus's bad books for that mishap!
