Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daley Bornstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vern Lipton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bornstein comes to the cage accompanied by Men at Work - Land Down Under. The crowd seem to be enjoying Lipton's choice of entrance music: ???. Vern Lipton is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daley Bornstein! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Vern Lipton! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bornstein avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Lipton misses with a hook. Bornstein ducked under it nicely. Lipton throws out a token jab with nothing on it. The fighters circling - Lipton throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Bornstein scores with a one two! Lipton had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
It looks like Vern Lipton has been cut. Bornstein moves into the clinch. Bornstein content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Bornstein lands a body shot in the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lipton misses with some punches.
Bornstein putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Lipton in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Lipton looks gassed! Bornstein throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Liptons head. Lipton throws a head punch that misses. Bornstein's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Lipton working aggressively here.
Bornstein tries to land a knee to the head but Lipton blocks with his arms.
Bornstein lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Lipton backwards. Bornstein breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Bornstein cracks Lipton with an open hand slap.
That has opened up Vern Lipton's cut even more. Bornstein circles away from the clinch attempt and Bornstein counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Bornstein's corner is telling him to maintain position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bornstein in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bornstein with a nice head shot there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bornstein slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Bornstein working some strikes from top position. Lipton really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bornstein. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bornstein sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bornstein loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Bornstein with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Bornstein sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Daley Bornstein. Bornstein throws a looping overhand right but Lipton ducks down to avoid it. Lipton lands a really nice looking cross but Bornstein seems unphased.
It looks like Daley Bornstein has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Bornstein tries to bum rush Lipton with a series of wild strikes but Lipton uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Vern Lipton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Bornstein, right into the meat.
Lipton thows a left - swing and a miss!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bornstein throws a nice inside leg kick. Bornstein has Lipton up against the cage in a clinch.
Bornstein lands a shoulder strike.
The cut above Vern Lipton's eye is starting to cause him problems now. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Lipton fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Vern Lipton's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Bornstein lands a body punch. Bornstein gets through Lipton's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Vern Lipton's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Daley Bornstein!
