Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Crowne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Crowne darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Crowne performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Johnson is doing well to control the position and prevent Crowne from advancing to side control.
Johnson wants to get back to his feet.
Crowne knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Johnson on the ground.
Crowne tries to stand but can't do so whilst Johnson controls his leg.
Johnson tries to kick Crowne off but Crowne keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Johnson is trying to control but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Johnson wants to improve his position but Crowne is controlling well.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Crowne's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Crowne has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Crowne is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Crowne seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Crowne seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Johnson for as long as he can get away with.

Crowne is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Johnson defends it well.
It looks like Crowne is going to stand back up.

Crowne moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Crowne holds on and takes a little breather.

Crowne is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Johnson is controlling him.
Johnson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Crowne swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Johnson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Johnson decides to take the fight back to the feet.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Chris Johnson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

and Johnson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Crowne's guard.
Crowne is pulling down on Johnson's head. It's preventing any offense from Johnson, at least for the moment.
Crowne wants to stand but Johnson is controlling the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Crowne looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Johnson wants to control from the top but Crowne keeps moving.
Crowne tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Johnson stands up and waves to Crowne to follow him.
Johnson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Johnson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Crowne is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Crowne bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Crowne has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Johnson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Johnson throws a push kick but Crowne slaps the foot to one side.

Crowne has taken the fight to the clinch.

Johnson gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Johnson gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
A jab lands there for Johnson.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Chris Johnson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Johnson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
