The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kriston is defended easily by Burns.
Burns blocks a head kick by Kriston.
Burns scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Kriston shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Stephen Burns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Kriston drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Kriston postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Kriston is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Burns is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Kriston has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Burns is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Kriston yanks on the arm and Burns is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Kriston.
