Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Devin Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ippo Mash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Williams as Mash shoots in. Mash is trying hard to land a takedown here. Williams sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Williams lands with a nice body punch. Williams drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mash tries to land a sweep but no joy. Mash keeping full guard, as Williams tries to pass. Mash wants to sweep here but Williams controlling him for the moment. Williams is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Williams is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Williams thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mash can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Williams controls the pace. Mash is trying to control the position but Williams postures up. Williams wants to pass the guard but Mash is keeping the position. Mash trying to keep a closed guard but Williams is proving a slippery customer.
Mash looks gassed! There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mash is on top in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Williams punching from the bottom - just letting Mash know he's still in a fight. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Williams tries to land a sweep but no joy. Williams controlling the position. Williams working a defensive guard here.
Williams could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Williams is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mash defends well. Mash wants to control from the top but Williams keeps moving.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Mash closes the distance and pushes Williams back into the cage. Williams taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Mash is trying to force a seperation but Williams has the dominant position. Mash working hard to break the clinch. Mash has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Williams avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Devin Williams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ippo Mash. Mash is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Williams's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Williams.
Williams shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Mash really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

The fight stays on the outside here - Williams looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Mash closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mash lands in his opponent's guard. Williams looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Mash drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mash jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Williams is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mash wants to control from the top but Williams keeps moving. Williams wants to hit a switch here but Mash passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Williams there! Williams is trying desperately to improve position. Williams tries to lock up and control but Mash gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Mash cracks Williams with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Mash lands with some strikes. Mash controlling the pace for now. Mash can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Williams is looking to escape. Williams is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Mash tries to control but Williams wriggling away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mash fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Williams manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Williams has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Mash is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Williams. Williams tries to improve position but can't. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mash has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mash. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ippo Mash showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Williams feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Mash not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Mash lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Mash wants to stand but Williams has a closed guard, so he can't escape. And that's the end of the fight! Devin Williams showed his dominance in that final round. Well Williams has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
