The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Christ throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Christ misses with a hook. Castillo ducked under it nicely. Christ is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Castillo's half guard. Castillo is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Christ pulls his head out easily. Castillo keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The fighters are battling for position here. Castillo manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Castillo is looking for a triangle but Christ pushes his legs off easily.
Christ thows a big elbow that misses. Christ passes into half guard. Christ seems to be looking for submissions.
Castillo looking for submissions off his back. Christ is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Castillo doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Christ.

Christ is looking for a kimura but Castillo is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Christ to get the leverage. Christ has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Castillo looking for submissions off his back. Christ is trying to work for a kimura but Castillo is defending well.
Christ is breathing heavily. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Christ wants to pass the guard but Castillo is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Christ throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Castillo looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Castillo trying to control here.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Christ missing with a left hand there. Castillo was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Christ decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Christ landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Castillo wants to get back to full guard. Christ lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Castillo tries to get to full guard but Christ has control of the leg. Christ moves nicely into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Christ advances nicely into full mount. Christ scoring with strikes but Castillo is staying in there. Christ looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Christ lands a big elbow. Christ lands a nice shot to the head. Castillo is trying desperately to improve position. Christ scores with a couple of good head shots there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Castillo wants to hold on but Christ pushes him away. Christ jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Castillo manages to avoid the submission attempt. Castillo gets back to half guard. Castillo looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Castillo trying to control here.
Castillo is looking for a sweep. Christ is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Christ is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Castillo defends it well. Christ throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jesus Christ dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Christ misses the jab. Christ scores with a takedown into Castillo's guard. Castillo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Christ gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Christ trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Castillo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Christ defends it easily. Christ is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Christ looking to pass the guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Christ loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's one minute gone in the round. Castillo looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Christ working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Castillo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Christ accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Castillo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Christ can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Castillo is trying to control the position from the bottom.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Nice shot lands for Christ. Christ feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Christ has gone for a leg lock! Castillo slips out almost immediately though and dives into Christ's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Christ wants to sweep here but Castillo controlling him for the moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Castillo avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Castillo wants to pass the guard but Christ is keeping the position. Castillo drops back looking for a leg! Christ is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Christ manages to kick Castillo off! Castillo jumps back into Christ's guard. Christ keeping full guard, as Castillo tries to pass.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Christ looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Castillo is defending well. Christ quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Castillo has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Christ celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jesus Christ! Jesus Christ retains his bantamweight title!
