Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeranimo Milner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nelson's entrance music is AFI - Totalimmortal. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Milner connects with a right hand. Nelson shakes it off. Nelson looks to land a left hand but Milner moved out of range nicely. Milner misses with a series of wild punches.
Nelson lands a body shot.
Horrible takedown by Milner or perhaps it was just good defense by Nelson which made him look bad. Milner changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nelson tries to avoid it but Milner manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nelson to the ground. Nelson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Milner throws a right and a left that Nelson avoids nicely. Milner throws a hook but Nelson avoids it easily. Milner circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nelson slips under a jab from Milner. Milner misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Jimmy Nelson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeranimo Milner. Milner misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Nelson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Milner throws a series of punches but Nelson avoids them all with ease. Nelson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Milner drives through with a takedown into guard. Milner tries to free his leg and advance position but Nelson is retaining full guard. Nelson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nelson wants to work for an arm triangle but Milner is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Nelson is looking to advance position but Milner won't allow it. Nelson is figuring out what he wants to do next. Nelson is working for a kimura but Milner is defending it quite comfortably.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Nelson stalling away here and it's allowed Milner to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Milner looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Nelson throws and elbow that misses. Milner uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Nelson's guard. Nice move by Milner! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nelson controls Milner momentarily but Milner frees himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Nelson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Nelson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Milner controls the pace. Nelson pulls Milner in close to prevent any damage. Milner trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nelson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Milner is in close to Nelson's body, working some short punches and elbows. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jimmy Nelson will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Nelson takes a swing at Milner's ribcage but misses. Milner pivots, looking for a leg kick but Nelson is out of range and Milner settles back down. Nelson misses with a series of wild punches.
Nice body punch from Milner. Milner moves into range and connects with a jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nelson throws a hook to the side of Milner's head but Milner sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Milner throws a combination that misses and Nelson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Nelson throws a looping overhand right but Milner ducks down to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round. A left and a right from Milner both land. Nice combination. Milner thows a leg kick but Nelson checks it and Nelson counters with a right hand to the body. Nelson looks to land a right hand but Milner moved out of range. Milner misses with an attempted mid kick.

and Nelson counters with a nice body shot. Milner has his takedown stuffed and Nelson counters with a straight right hand.

Will he get it? Nelson is fending him off so far but Milner persists. Nope, Nelson circles away and we're back to standing. Nelson avoids the body shot from Milner.
Milner misses with a shot to the body and Nelson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. A short body shot lands from Nelson as the two fighters clinch.
Nelson pushes Milner back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Milner is trying to break free. A frustrated look appears on Milner's face as he tries to break the clinch. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Nelson tries a body shot but Milner blocks it.
Nelson lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Milner backwards. A body shot lands from Nelson.
Milner is looking to break free of the clinch but Nelson has double underhooks. Nelson scores with an uppercut up the middle. Milner looking for a takedown. Jimmy Nelson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeranimo Milner. Milner is breathing heavily. Nelson lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Nice body punch from Nelson - that landed with a thud.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nelson works on Milner's body with a couple of short punches. Nelson is trying to stall.
Milner tries for a takedown. No joy.
Nelson prevents Milner from breaking the clinch. Nelson cracks Milner with a nice body shot. Nelson scores with a shoulder strike.
Milner is rocked! Nelson scores with a shoulder strike. Milner is still on wobbly legs! Can Nelson finish him? Nelson lands a body punch in the clinch. Nelson will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Milner up against the cage. Nelson lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Nelson creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Milner's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Milner drops to his knees and Nelson pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jimmy Nelson!
